Career Programs
CULINARY ARTS
Students develop professional cooking techniques, food safety practices, and industry knowledge in a fully equipped kitchen lab. Graduates pursue careers in the culinary industry or further culinary training. ServSafe certification pathway available.
HVAC
Students in the HVAC program gain hands-on training in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems — one of the most in-demand skilled trades in New York City. Through a combination of technical instruction and practical application, students work toward industry certifications and develop the foundational skills needed to pursue apprenticeships, union membership, and careers in building maintenance and construction.
SECURITY
Students in the Security program earn their NYS Security Guard License (Article 7) while building real-world skills in safety protocols, emergency response, conflict de-escalation, and professional conduct. Training meets New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services requirements, giving graduates a state-recognized credential and a direct pathway into employment in building security, event management, and public safety.
ARTS PROGRAMS
VISUAL ARTS
Drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media — Visual Arts builds creative confidence and introduces students to fine arts and design career pathways. Led by Mrs. Carol Ditmars-Houser. Student work is exhibited at the annual Bronx Arts Festival.
MEDIA ARTS
From photography and videography to digital design, students develop visual storytelling skills for careers in communications, marketing, and the creative industries. Led by Mr. Joshua Afriyie, with exhibition and showcase opportunities throughout the year.
Fashion design
Students in the Fashion Design program explore the full creative process — from concept sketching and pattern making to garment construction and presentation. Rooted in both art and industry, the program develops technical sewing and design skills while encouraging students to find and express their own visual voice. Graduates are prepared to pursue fashion studies, design careers, and entrepreneurship in the creative economy.
