What is a transfer school?
A transfer school is a NYC high school specifically designed for students who have fallen behind in credits, are overage for their grade, or have struggled in a traditional school environment. BCHS provides a supportive, flexible pathway to graduation
Is BCHS free to attend?
ButtonYes. BCHS is a New York City public school, fully funded by the NYC Department of Education. There is no tuition or enrollment fee
How do I apply to BCHS?
ButtonApplications are accepted on a rolling basis through the NYC DOE transfer school process. Contact our team at 718-892-1026 or visit us at 1980 Lafayette Ave. Bring your transcripts and any school ID
What are the graduation requirements?
Students must earn 44 credits across core subjects and electives, and pass required Regents exams or approved alternative assessments. Our counselors work with each student to build a personalized graduation plan.
