MS. RIVERA

Senior House Leader | ISS Teacher | Coordinator of Student Activities

Christine Rivera serves as a Senior House Leader, ISS Teacher, and Coordinator of Student Activities at BCHS. As a member of the ISS Team, she is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where scholars feel heard, valued, and encouraged. Christine provides students with honest guidance, consistent advocacy, high expectations, and meaningful support while celebrating their growth, achievements, and resilience.

Christine began working at BCHS at age 21 and credits her experiences as a mother and her early work experiences with helping shape her perspective. Students know her as animated, caring, and supportive, and can often find her in Room 118, throughout the halls, or working alongside Dr. H. She is passionate about helping students understand that their circumstances do not define their future and that perseverance, self-belief, and continued growth can open doors to possibilities they may not have imagined.

Outside of school, Christine enjoys traveling and living life abundantly with her family. She is also proud of earning her GED after not completing traditional high school.

Christine believes teenagers succeed when adults recognize their strengths, encourage their growth, and view mistakes as opportunities for learning rather than simply reasons for punishment.
