MISSIONS SOCIETY

Several members of the BCHS team are part of the Mission Society of New York City — one of the city's oldest and most trusted community organizations. Founded in 1812, the Mission Society has spent more than two centuries serving the people of New York, evolving from providing food and material aid to offering transformative educational programming for K–12 students from low-income households across Harlem, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.

At BCHS, Mission Society staff work alongside school faculty to deliver wraparound support, college and career counseling, youth development, and after-school programming. Their presence is one of the things that makes BCHS more than a school — it makes us a community.
