MS. ABDULLAH
MATH TEACHER
Ms. Sobia Abdullah brings both academic rigor and genuine compassion to her role as a Special Education Teacher in the Math Department at BCHS. With a background in social work and mental health, she understands that students need to feel safe and supported before they can learn — and she creates exactly that kind of environment. Students can rely on her for safety, support, and accountability, and she consistently reminds them to never give up. She recently learned to drive — which surprised more than a few students — and outside of school she enjoys watching new movies and going on nature hikes. Ms. Abdullah's goal is for every student to walk away believing that no problem in math class — or in life — is too difficult to solve, and feeling confident enough to explore STEM fields on their own terms. She believes teenagers succeed when adults allow them to grow and explore without judgment.
