MR. AMADOR

Nicholas Amador is a Mathematics teacher at BCHS who strives to be a pillar of support and consistency for his scholars. Beyond academics, he emphasizes the importance of helping young people develop the skills and awareness they need to navigate the world around them.

Before joining BCHS, Nicholas worked for a nonprofit organization supporting young people involved with the probation system. That experience helped shape his approach to working with students and reinforced the importance of providing young people with guidance, structure, and opportunities to grow.

Students can typically find Nicholas in his classroom, where they quickly learn that he is unapologetically himself. He is known for reminding students that there is a time and place for everything—an approach that reflects his balance of authenticity, structure, and accountability



Outside of school, Nicholas enjoys making memories. Students may be surprised to learn that he was not always the most well-behaved student himself during high school.

Nicholas' goal is to show students that anything is possible when they are willing to work hard for what they want and believe in themselves. He believes teenagers succeed when adults give them autonomy, belonging, and opportunities to develop competence.
