MS. LEYTE

Ms. Brooke Leyte is an English as a New Language teacher whose classroom is a place of warmth, encouragement, and real growth. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English and Secondary Education from St. Bonaventure University and a Master's degree in English from Buffalo State College. With a background in education and English Language Arts, Ms. Leyte spends her days teaching vocabulary and building reading skills in English — but her deeper goal is helping every student become the best version of themselves. Students know her as compassionate, funny, and sharp, and they are consistently surprised to learn she can speak Spanish. Her message to scholars is one she lives by: "You can do anything you set your mind to." Outside of school, Ms. Leyte enjoys writing, watching scary movies, and karaoke. She believes teenagers succeed when adults model how to advocate for themselves.
